DESCRIPTION
Lot 33 Rosé is a blend of Grenache and Cinsault, harvested from vineyards along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea and the foothills of the Cévennes mountains in France's Languedoc region. Like Provence, Languedoc has an established tradition of producing high quality, dry rosé wines.
This wine receives its light, rosy color from brief contact between the juice and skins, prior to a long, cool fermentation. The 2019 vintage in Languedoc was warm and dry, but with cool evenings that helped to create ripe fruit and higher alcohol, but enough acid to balance the wine.
TASTING NOTES
While this vintage of rosé has more body than previous years, it has freshness, acid and texture to balance it out. On the nose, you'll get aromas of ripe strawberries and cherries, accompanied by notes of fresh, wild herbs, white pepper and melon. Dry and bright on the palate, the wine has juicy fruit and an easy-going demeanor. The perfect summer sipper!
